Construction Manager

We are currently working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to recruit an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of a high-profile building project. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business known for delivering complex, high-quality schemes across the UK.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of key packages or areas of work, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating site activities, leading teams, and driving high standards across all aspects of construction delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and champion a strong health & safety culture, ensuring works are carried out in line with all regulations and company Standards
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, labour, and materials to meet programme and quality requirements.
  •  moniitor progress against programme, attending daily and weekly production meetings [
  • Provide regular progress reports and identify risks or issues.
  • Work closely with design and commercial teams to ensure cost-effective and buildable solutions
  • Identify and resolve site issues, offering innovative solutions to improve delivery
  • Ensure works are completed to specification with a focus on quality and compliance
  • Maintain accurate site records and ensure effective communication across the project team
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff and site teams

About You

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on medium to large-scale building projects, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor
  • Strong understanding of the construction process, sequencing, and site operations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work packages and drive performance on site
  • Construction-related qualification (minimum HNC or equivalent
  • CSCS (Manager level), SMSTS, and First Aid qualification
  • Professional membership (MCIOB/ICE) or working towards is highly desirable
