Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dedicated Clerk of Works to join our client's team in Fife. This role involves ensuring the quality, compliance, and standards of day-to-day works across maintenance, upgrades, and development projects. The successful candidate will benefit from a hybrid working model, subject to operational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
Inspect day-to-day works to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to standards.
Check that contractors' work meets contract requirements, ensuring good workmanship, safe practices, and the use of correct materials.
Monitor site progress, attend meetings, and provide updates on quality and performance.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and project documentation.
Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and housing standards (SHQS/EESSH).
Identify defects, resolve minor issues on-site, and ensure timely corrective actions.
Support testing, inspections, and coordination within the project team.
Provide feedback on progress, quality, and contractor performance.
Assist with project handovers, documentation, and post-occupancy support.
Carry out defect inspections and monitor fixes during the liability period.
Contribute to asset inspections, programme planning, and database updates.
Work collaboratively as part of the Asset Team to deliver planned investment programmes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role.
Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and compliance.
Proficient in maintaining detailed records and writing reports.
Knowledge of SHQS and EESSH standards is highly advantageous.
