REED Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in a picturesque village just outside Cambridge to recruit a full-time School Cleaner for a September start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking for a long-term position within a supportive school environment.
Position Details
- Job Title: School Cleaner
- Location: Village just outside Cambridge
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract: Full Time, Long Term
- Hours: Monday to Friday
- 6:00am – 9:00am
- 3:00pm – 8:00pm
- Pay: Up to £17 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washroom facilities
- Emptying bins and replenishing supplies where required
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly
- Supporting the wider site team in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to commit to the split-shift working pattern
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
