Our client, a Yorkshire council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty Team

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Undertake timely and proportionate assessments of children and families referred to the service, in line with statutory requirements and local procedures.
  • Respond to new referrals, complete initial visits, and gather information to inform decision-making.
  • Identify risks and strengths within families, ensuring robust safeguarding measures are in place.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to develop effective plans that meet the needs of children and young people.
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for child protection conferences, legal proceedings, and other statutory meetings.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legislation, guidance, and best practice standards.
  • Participate in duty rota, responding promptly to urgent cases and managing crisis situations effectively.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
