Customer Service Call Handler
- Salary: £14.76 per hour
- Location: Exeter
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
- Job Type: 35 hours, Temporary for 1 month
- Start Date: 27th July (with possible earlier start)
Reed is seeking a temporary Call Handler to join our client's Customer Service Team for approximately 1 month. This role is crucial for supporting a census data collection project aimed at tailoring and improving services. If you have experience in call centres or high-volume telephone roles and can handle challenging conversations professionally, we would love to hear from you.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Making outbound calls to customers as part of a census data collection project.
- Following up with individuals who have not yet completed their census questionnaire.
- Gathering customer feedback and collecting information through structured questioning.
- Accurately recording and collating responses.
- Inputting data into spreadsheets and the company's in-house system.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including AWABS requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous call centre or high-volume telephone-based experience.
- Confidence in making outbound calls throughout the day.
- Resilience and ability to handle challenging conversations professionally.
- Strong communication and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- This temporary Call Handler role supports a census project that covers questions on nationality, languages spoken, and other demographic information.
- The role will involve working with approximately 1,500 properties across Exeter.
