Join my client's dynamic Finance department as a Legal Biller, where you will play a crucial role in our newly established Billing team. This team is integral to enhancing the financial operations services across our UK offices. We are looking for a proactive individual who can manage the end-to-end billing process, ensuring compliance and supporting our partners and fee-earning teams effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:
Take ownership of the billing process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to firm policies on WIP management and recovery.
Use Elite 3E to produce and deliver accurate invoices promptly.
Serve as the primary finance contact for assigned partners and fee earners, facilitating smooth billing operations and providing necessary support.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of client, matter, and payer master data within Elite 3E.
Respond to billing queries and requests swiftly, aiming for excellence in client service.
Assist with month-end and quarter-end billing processes and develop control/exception reports for billing and recovery monitoring.
Escalate any contentious issues to the Senior Biller or Billing Manager promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency in Elite 3E with at least two years of experience in a billing role within a professional services environment.
Strong understanding of VAT, compliance requirements, and master data management processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage standard billing processes and resolve routine queries.
Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating billing policies and procedures.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines, especially during peak billing periods.
