We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations and support a busy team in the Chessington area. This 2-month temporary assignment is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can motivate others, and leads by example to achieve operational targets.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead, supervise, and motivate a team to achieve daily targets and KPIs.
Allocate workloads and ensure efficient use of resources.
Monitor performance and provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback.
Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
Support with training and onboarding of new starters.
Handle team queries, issues, and escalation points professionally.
Maintain accurate records, reports, or system updates as required.
Liaise with management to ensure smooth operational flow.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role.
Strong people management and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Highly organised with good attention to detail.
Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach.
Good basic IT skills (e.g., Excel, internal systems).
Preferred (Nice to Have):
Experience in warehouse, logistics, retail, or operational environments.
Knowledge of performance metrics or KPI tracking.
Experience managing shift-based teams.
