Reed Recruitment are currently working in partnership with an established third-party logistics (3PL) provider specialising in innovative warehousing solutions across the UK is seeking an experienced Warehouse General Manager. This role involves leading operational activities across two distribution centres, totalling over 75,000 sq. ft., and offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the organisation's growth and success.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction across all operational functions including warehousing, distribution, continuous improvement, and project delivery.
Team Management: Lead, manage, and develop a site team of approximately 30+ employees through a structured leadership team.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring consistently high levels of service and satisfaction.
Commercial Responsibility: Oversee site performance, ensuring operational and financial targets are met while maintaining service quality standards.
Performance Metrics: Drive performance through KPI management, focusing on meeting existing benchmarks and fostering continuous improvements.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, health & safety requirements, and best practice standards.
Process Optimisation: Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Innovation: Support the introduction of new systems, processes, and technologies to enhance operational performance and customer outcomes.
Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and third-party providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong background in logistics, distribution, and supply chain management.
Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role such as General Manager, Head of Operations, or equivalent.
Experience within a 3PL environment is desirable.
Experience managing budgets within medium to large-scale distribution centre operations.
Strong leadership capability with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Commercial awareness of the UK logistics and warehousing market.
Demonstrated ability to support and manage organisational growth.
Ability to commute to South East Wales location five days per week.
