Chemistry & Stability Team Lead

Overview

Lead the Chemistry and Stability function within a regulated laboratory environment, overseeing department operations, technical quality, compliance, team development, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day laboratory activities, workload planning, and team performance.
  • Oversee data review, batch audits, investigations, deviations, CAPA, change controls, and quality risk assessments.
  • Act as a key contact for clients, supporting meetings, audits, and inspections.
  • Review and approve procedures, protocols, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Support equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to departmental budgeting, forecasting, and commercial activities.
  • Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and development for team members.
  • Participate in site leadership and quality management activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in a Life Science discipline preferred.
  • Significant experience within GMP and/or GLP regulated environments.
  • Proven experience in analytical chemistry and stability testing/storage.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a laboratory setting.

  • Excellent technical expertise in chemistry laboratory operations.
