Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the preparation of a strategic asset management plan / strategy
  • Undertake condition and asset assessments across the Council’s property estate to inform the strategy
  • Analyse property performance, utilisation, lifecycle costs, and opportunities for rationalisation
  • Provide professional surveying advice on operational and non-operational assets
  • Assist in identifying investment priorities and efficiencies
  • Contribute to data collection, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Property, Estates team, council officers, consultants, and senior leadership

Requirements

  • Chartered Surveyor (MRICS preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of local authority asset management plans and strategies
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
  • Ability to interpret asset data and provide practical recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder communication and project management abilities
