We are seeking a Surveyor to join our Property and Asset Management team within the Business Growth and Infrastructure department. This role is crucial for providing an efficient and effective professional surveying service, playing a significant role in the delivery of continuous improvement of cost-effective services aligned to service user needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the let estate including disposals of land and property assets, and acquisition of property interests for corporate schemes.
  • Project manage regeneration and property development initiatives.
  • Conduct valuations of land and property for both capital and revenue purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and undertake professional work related to the portfolio including negotiation and settlement of rent reviews and lease renewals.
  • Assess rental values, compile marketing details, and manage viewings and negotiations for the letting or disposal of vacant commercial and industrial property.
  • Provide general property advice and progress reports to client departments, existing or prospective tenants, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • RICS accredited degree or equivalent.
  • Satisfaction of RICS assessment of Professional Competence.
  • Significant experience and expertise in disposals and acquisition of land and property.
  • Competence in the valuation of land and property assets for statutory, accounting, and appraisal purposes.
  • Experience in creating and managing property-related budgets.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and communicate complex information effectively.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
