Are you an experienced and compassionate Support Assistant looking for a rewarding morning role where you can make a genuine difference?
We are recruiting for a dedicated individual to provide one to one support for a pupil in Plymouth with medical and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident, proactive and experienced in working with complex needs.
Key Requirements
Medical training with experience in diabetes management
Strong experience supporting pupils with challenging or complex behaviour
Physically fit and able to respond quickly to ensure pupil safety
Calm, patient and resilient, with a positive and consistent approach
Previous SEN experience is highly desirable
DBS on the update service is advantageous
Role Responsibilities
Provide consistent one to one support during morning sessions
Monitor and manage medical needs, including diabetes care
Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
Ensure the pupil’s safety at all times, including responding to attempts to leave supervised areas
Work collaboratively with school staff and follow individual care and behaviour plans
