About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a dependable and proactive Maintenance Operative to support a school in Milton Keynes on a temporary basis.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with previous maintenance or caretaking experience who is confident working independently and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general maintenance and repair tasks across the school site
  • Basic plumbing, painting, and DIY duties
  • Supporting site safety, including hazard checks and reporting issues
  • Assisting with setting up classrooms and facilities as required
  • Ensuring the school premises remain clean, safe, and functional
  • Responding to ad-hoc maintenance requests

Requirements

  • Valid Enhanced DBS (essential) or willing to obtain one
  • Previous maintenance, facilities, or caretaker experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety procedures
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
