Senior HR Advisor/ HR Manager - Based in Dudley

Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a standalone role where you can genuinely influence people, culture and business performance?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing multi-site engineering and manufacturing business seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function across the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day operational delivery and wants a role where their expertise will make a visible impact.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you'll be the go-to HR specialist for the business, providing commercially focused advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.

This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with managers across multiple sites, helping them navigate complex people matters while ensuring robust HR processes, compliance and best practice are maintained throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing expert HR advice on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance issues
  • Supporting and coaching managers through formal and informal HR processes
  • Managing recruitment and onboarding activities from vacancy approval through to induction
  • Leading absence management, wellbeing initiatives and occupational health referrals
  • Acting as the key HR contact for payroll administration and employee records
  • Maintaining and developing HR systems, reporting and people data
  • Reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and employee documentation
  • Supporting organisational change projects, restructures and workforce planning initiatives
  • Coordinating training activities and supporting management development
  • Driving employee engagement and promoting a positive workplace culture

About You

We're looking for a confident and credible HR professional who can build strong relationships at all levels and isn't afraid to challenge when required.

You'll have:

  • Proven experience in a HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or HR Generalist role
  • Strong employee relations experience and confidence handling complex casework
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience supporting managers with practical, commercially focused HR advice
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience with HR systems and people data reporting
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience) as a minimum
  • A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or service-led environments would be highly advantageous.

What's in it for You?

  • Hybrid working with flexibility around home and office working
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Company pension scheme
  • Genuine autonomy and influence within the business
  • Opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and shape the people agenda
  • A supportive, down-to-earth culture where your contribution is valued

Why Apply?

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who enjoys ownership, variety and building strong relationships across a business. You'll have the chance to work both strategically and operationally, helping shape the future of a growing organisation while providing trusted support to managers and employees alike.
