Permanent Position
Hours: 36 hours per week (4 days per week)
Pay Rate: £16.73 per hour
Reports To: Home Manager
Role
- To prepare and serve high-quality meals and snacks while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Prepare and serve meals in line with menu and dietary requirements.
- Order stock and monitor food supplies.
- Supervise and support catering staff.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and HACCP compliance.
- Complete required health & safety and food hygiene records.
- Report equipment faults or hazards.
- Attend training and staff meetings as required.
Essential Criteria
- Catering qualification.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP standards.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
- Satisfactory Access NI check.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of IDDSI guidance and special dietary requirements.
