About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and professional School Administrator to provide effective administrative support within a busy school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys working as part of a dedicated team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily school operations, providing a high level of customer service to staff, students, parents, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the school office.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Welcome visitors and support reception duties.
  • Maintain accurate student, staff, and school records.
  • Assist with attendance monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare letters, reports, forms, and general correspondence.
  • Support the organisation of school events, meetings, and activities.
  • Maintain filing systems and databases, ensuring information is stored accurately and confidentially.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post.
  • Assist with data entry and updating school systems.
  • Provide administrative support to teaching and support staff as required.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and data protection requirements.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous administration experience, preferably within a school, education, or customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • A professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
