This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll take ownership of customer complaints, drive corrective actions, and work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure standards are consistently achieved and maintained.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to influence change, challenge existing processes, and make a real impact within a business committed to quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate customer complaint investigations through to successful resolution.
  • Lead and support root cause analysis activities, ensuring robust corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to identify quality issues and drive improvements.
  • Verify corrective actions are effective, sustainable, and embedded into production processes.
  • Ensure all investigations, actions and records are maintained to an audit-ready standard.
  • Act as a key contact for customer quality concerns, providing clear and professional communication throughout.
  • Support customer visits, complaint reviews and quality meetings.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at reducing complaints and improving right-first-time performance.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to translate findings into operational improvements.
  • Provide support to the Quality Control function when required.
  • Deputise for the Quality Control Manager during periods of absence or increased workload.
  • Support audits, corrective action programmes, and wider continuous improvement projects.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within a Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control role in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of customer complaint management and investigation processes.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Experience working within a recognised quality management system such as BRCGS or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels internally and externally.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and influence teams to drive improvements.
  • Experience within glass, packaging or a similar manufacturing environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.

What's Important

  • A proactive and positive attitude.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A commitment to Health & Safety.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent teamwork and relationship-building skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a quality-focused manufacturing business where you'll have the autonomy to drive improvements, work closely with customers, and contribute to the ongoing success of the operation.
