Bury Council are looking for three experienced Multiskilled Joiners to join our team on a minimum 3-month contract. This role is based within the social housing sector in the Bury area, focusing on joinery maintenance and repairs in tenanted houses. The ideal candidate will have a strong multi-trade skillset with a joinery bias and experience in social housing.
Day-to-day of the role:
Carry out all aspects of joinery maintenance and repairs in tenanted houses, including first and second fix tasks such as doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, and window and lock repairs.
Install and repair kitchen units, worktops, and associated fixtures.
Complete minor plumbing tasks associated with kitchen and bathroom installations.
Repair and replace uPVC windows and composite doors.
Undertake tiling, plaster patching, and basic brickwork as part of refurbishment works.
Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including the safe use of power tools and adherence to risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience within social housing is preferred.
Strong multi-trade skillset with a joinery bias.
Experience with uPVC windows and composite doors.
Ability to undertake minor plumbing works related to kitchen and bathroom installations.
Proficiency in using a PDA/tablet or job management system for job tracking.
Full UK driving licence (max 3 points) and own tools are essential.
