We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team in a residential care home setting. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and will contribute to maintaining a comfortable, safe, and hygienic environment for service users and other customers.
Day-to-day of the role:
Follow cleaning schedules as instructed to maintain high standards and comply with infection control policies and procedures.
Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are strictly followed, disinfecting and cleaning areas to the highest standards to reduce cross-contamination.
Maintain personal presentation and hygiene to the highest standard when working within the care home.
Safely store cleaning equipment and materials in line with COSSH regulations and health and safety policies.
Report any defects immediately to higher management to ensure safety.
Carry out additional reasonable instructions from the shift leader, Deputy, and Registered Manager, adapting to changes to meet the evolving needs of the service.
Respect clients' privacy and adopt a person-centred approach at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Domestic Assistant in a similar setting.
Ability to work flexibly and travel to various locations within the Borough.
NQF Level 1 qualification (e.g., GCSEs Grades 3-1, NVQs Level 1, GNVQs Foundation, City and Guilds Part 1) or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience.
