Production Operative – Full Training Provided

  • Salary: £12.71 Per Hour, Increasing With Training

Are you looking to kickstart a career in the Manufacturing sector with a supportive and friendly team at a well-established family owned business?

 

This Food Manufacturing company supplies Fresh Produce to both small & large supermarkets as well as restaurant groups across the UK, operating a modern hydroponic farming environment to produce several thousand tonnes of goods annually.

 

Full training can be provided in this role covering advanced machinery and FLT operation, and for the right person there is the opportunity to progress into a Line Leader position. Any prior experience from a FMCG or Agricultural background is highly advantageous but not essential.

 

This is a great position for someone that wants to build valuable skills within a stable industry at an expanding company that prides itself on a friendly workplace culture.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Initially focusing on product packaging while undertaking training in more complex production machinery operation
  • Carrying out basic checks - metal detection, temperatures, hygiene etc
  • Learning about FLT operation in preparation for gaining certification
  • Ensuring work is carried out in a safe manner & supporting with site compliance

 

Requirements

  • Eager to learn and comfortable with hands-on work
  • Positive and friendly attitude, capable of working well with others
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential
  • Full UK driving license
