Production Lead

- Location: Essex
- Reporting To: Production Manager
- Hours: 07:30 - 15:30 Mon-Fri
We are seeking a dedicated Leader, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the dispatch area. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to delivering quality products on time and in full to our customers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage daily staff activities and prepare the area for daily production.
- Uphold area and staff hygiene, adhering to Factory Hygiene Regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, reporting any concerns.
- Control stock and ensure proper rotation, conducting daily stock checks.
- Maintain traceability on all products and packaging, including label checking and product checks
- Keep the dispatch area and chiller clean and hygienic.
- Carry out duties necessary for the efficient operation of the end of line/dispatch area.
- Achieve daily targets for On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery.
- Manage the picking and palletising of orders, ensuring accuracy in pallet quantities and readiness for collection/delivery deadlines.
- Maintain service levels in line with company expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and conscientious with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet daily operational requirements.
- Good working knowledge of product and customer requirements.
- Full understanding of company hygiene and health and safety regulations.
