Business Development Manager – South

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Business Development Manager in the South, from Milton Keynes to Cornwall. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a passion for sustainable packaging and tableware, aiming to drive growth and maintain high levels of support and service within the southern territory.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and execute a business plan aligned with the company's corporate strategy, revising quarterly.
- Communicate weekly with the National Sales Manager through one-to-one Teams meetings and provide detailed call reports.
- Set monthly action plans, scheduling customer visits and virtual meetings.
- Report on territory and customer performance monthly to the Head of Sales.
- Serve as a liaison between external customers and internal teams to exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with the National Sales Manager on market developments and product opportunities.
- Implement agreed pricing strategies for existing and new customers.
- Support customers by attending trade fairs, organising showroom displays, and conducting training.
- Achieve sales targets and maintain standard gross profit margins.
- Review and promote sales campaigns in coordination with the Head of Sales.
- Plan and manage your time and visits efficiently.
- Train customer sales teams as necessary and maintain multifunctional contact with key customer personnel.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, preferably in the food packaging or foodservice industry.
- Strong educational background.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Motivated and driven, with a commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Adaptable, able to manage change effectively and tackle problems with optimism.
