The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students access learning and develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting students with additional needs, including SEND
  • Supporting classroom activities and lesson delivery
  • Encouraging student engagement and participation
  • Promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
  • Helping students develop social and emotional skills
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff

We Are Looking For

  • A positive, patient and caring approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is advantageous but not essential
  • A genuine passion for supporting education and student development
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one)
