Inspection, Repair & Pressure Test Technician
📍 Aberdeen | 🕒 Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm | 💰 £38,000-£45,000 DOE
We're recruiting for an experienced Inspection, Repair & Pressure Test Technician to join a busy valve shop supporting the oil & gas drilling sector.
This is a hands-on workshop-based role where you'll be responsible for the inspection, repair, assembly and pressure testing of drilling valves and oilfield equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Pressure testing, inspection and repair of drilling valves and oilfield equipment
- Dismantling, rebuilding and testing a variety of well control equipment
- Producing inspection reports, test reports and pressure test charts
- Operating torque machines, overhead cranes and workshop equipment
- Supporting maintenance activities and driving continuous improvement within the workshop
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 6 years' experience in pressure testing using various media
- Strong knowledge of drill string well control equipment and oilfield equipment
- City & Guilds Pressure Testing qualification or equivalent experience
- Ability to work safely, accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
