Reed Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing business in the Scarva area to recruit an experienced Fabricator/Welder on a permanent basis.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled fabrication team known for its commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and delivering bespoke mechanical pipework systems through off-site manufacturing.

 

The Role

As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a key role in producing high-quality carbon and stainless-steel pipework systems while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

 

Duties will include:

  • Fabricating and welding carbon and stainless-steel pipework to specification
  • Operating MIG, TIG and stainless-steel welding equipment
  • Reading and interpreting fabrication and assembly drawings
  • Measuring, cutting, grinding, and preparing materials accurately
  • Producing high-quality welds across various pipe diameters
  • Working closely with Quality Control to ensure products meet required standards
  • Identifying and resolving fabrication issues efficiently
  • Supporting team members and cross-training across different welding activities
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace
  • Meeting production targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Fabricator and/or Welder
  • Pipe fabrication experience would be highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of welding procedures and best practices
  • Experience using grinders, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering, fabrication, and assembly drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable with strong attendance and timekeeping
  • A positive team player with a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to learn new skills and undertake further training
