We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to lead our early years setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate childcare professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding care and education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day management of the nursery.
Ensure high-quality care and learning in line with the EYFS.
Support, develop and manage the nursery team.
Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.
Oversee nursery administration, including staffing, records, funding and fees.
Monitor quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
Manage admissions, nursery tours and transition arrangements.
Lead staff appraisals, supervision and professional development.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Person Specification - Essential
Level 3 Early Years qualification.
Experience in a nursery management or senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of EYFS and early years legislation.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Experience managing budgets.
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Desirable
EYTS, Level 5 qualification or above.
DSL training.
Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Experience with learning journey software (e.g. Seesaw).
Knowledge of local authority funding.
