Due to expansion a newly created opportunity has arisen for a full time, highly ambitious Assistant Management Accountant working for a high end luxurious travel company.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company that will offer a huge amount of progression and development for the right candidate. You will be a key member of the Finance team that will help support the growth and development of the business.  The role provides an exciting opportunity to be instrumental to the strategic direction of the company, working across and interacting with the entire organisation.

This role reports into the Finance Director who will offer you on the job and financial support towards your qualification.

Salary £40 -45K + excellent benefits which include study support and 3 days WFH per week and 2 days in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of banking platforms - contacting the banks on a daily basis
  • Reconciliation of credit cards, reconciliation and schedules of items that require action 
  • Daily cashbook reconciliation, ensuring the team are aware of their outstanding postings
  • Pre month end review of Travelink, identifying resolving corrections required
  • Month end cut off reporting
  • Review of commission receipts in month, allocating by journal to Leisure and Corporate
  • Review all postings within Sage and identify any items that require action
  • Accruals and prepayments 
  • Determine and journal cut off adjustments for business partner budget holders 
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, create and process depreciation journals each month
  • Reconcile intersystem and intercompany accounts
  • Reconcile balance sheet and where required process FX revaluations, produce supporting schedules
  • Prepare accounts to trial balance level.
  • Quarterly preparation of overall VAT return
  • Cover for other team members on leave
  • Other Ad hoc duties required

Person:

  • Part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Able to communicate well across functions and departments with strong attention to detail and good presentation skills, both orally and in writing
  • Good system skills, the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Good Excel (PIVOT tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, external data queries)
