  • Work with stakeholders to define business problems, test hypotheses, and design data-led interventions.
  • Clearly communicate analytical findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure suitable data structures for analytics and machine learning use cases.
  • Monitor model performance and recommend improvements as business needs evolve.
  • Document methodologies, data sources, and modelling approaches in line with governance standards.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering data science and predictive analytics solutions within a commercial or operational environment.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills with experience building production-ready analytical solutions.
  • Experience developing, validating, and deploying machine learning models.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modelling techniques, including forecasting, classification, regression, clustering, and optimisation.
  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, Synapse, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into structured analytical solutions.
  • Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills, ideally using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Experience working with large, complex, and imperfect datasets.
  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.

What's on Offer

  • Opportunity to work on a modern enterprise data platform with significant datasets and real-world business impact.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives.
  • Collaborative environment working alongside engineering, architecture, and business teams.
  • The chance to help establish and shape data science best practice within a growing analytics capability.
