We are seeking an Engineering Lecturer to join a forward-thinking college in South London. This role is available on a temporary or permanent basis, with options for full-time or part-time hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering and dedicated to fostering a dynamic learning environment for students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions in various engineering disciplines, ensuring content is up-to-date and relevant.
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and lab exercises.
- Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory performance, assignments, and papers.
- Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom and laboratory discussions.
- Stay current with the latest engineering developments and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching.
- Provide academic guidance and career advice to students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Lecturer or in a similar educational role.
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of engineering concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Flexibility to work either full-time or part-time, and on a temporary or permanent basis.
