HR Business Partner

Location: South Lanarkshire (with regional travel)
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 + benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support operations across South Lanarkshire. You will work closely with managers and operational teams, providing expert HR advice, driving people initiatives, and supporting the delivery of business objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys influencing stakeholders, managing employee relations issues, and partnering with leaders to improve performance, engagement, and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers to provide HR guidance across the employee lifecycle.
  • Support recruitment, retention, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, and capability matters.
  • Coach and support managers on people management best practice.
  • Deliver people initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and positive workplace culture.
  • Work with Learning & Development teams to identify training needs.
  • Analyse HR metrics and provide recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and GDPR requirements.
  • Contribute to HR projects, change programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You will have:

  • Experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience coaching and supporting managers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience analysing HR data and producing management information.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it).
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
