Our client is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to support our Finance Manager in providing comprehensive financial and administrative support to all staff. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their financial skills in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
Data Entry: Reconcile invoices to purchase orders and input them into the accounting system, ensuring their accuracy, validity, and completeness. Maintain and update financial records.
Credit Card Reconciliation: Assist with the monthly reconciliation of credit card statements.
Purchase Ledger: Support the Purchase Ledger Officer with the placement of orders for the next academic year.
Ad Hoc Duties: Assist with additional financial tasks and projects as needed by the finance department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 1-2 years in a finance or accounting role is desirable.
Education: AAT qualification or currently working towards it is preferred but not essential.
IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
Attention to Detail: Strong numerical skills and a high level of accuracy.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Attend staff training as required.
Undertake any additional tasks given by the Finance Manager commensurate with the role.
