We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established Edinburgh-based charity to recruit a Payroll & Finance Assistant on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation providing vital care services that make a meaningful difference to individuals and families across the community.
The Role
This position sits within the finance function, supporting both payroll and wider finance activities during a period of sickness cover. You will act as a key point between the organisation and their outsourced payroll provider, ensuring information is accurate and processes run smoothly.
This is not an end-to-end payroll role, but requires strong attention to detail and confidence working with payroll data.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and submitting payroll data to the external payroll provider
Performing sense checks on returned payroll information to ensure accuracy
Supporting finance processes including:
Invoice processing
Account reconciliations
Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc finance tasks
About You
Previous exposure to payroll processes (submission, checking, or supporting)
Experience within a finance function, particularly invoicing and reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident working with data and liaising with internal stakeholders
Able to hit the ground running in a busy, supportive environment
