Assistant Accountant 

Cambridge (hybrid)

£30,000-£33,000 per annum (plus guaranteed bonus)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Cambridge based technology company for a career focussed and proactive individual to join the large finance team, in the role of Assistant Accountant.  

Reporting to the division manager, this role forms part of a large team, working together to produce accurate financial data and meaningful reports.

Duties to include:

  • Collecting, processing and presenting timely and accurate financial data
  • Posting of general ledger journal entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Involvement in month-end close

 

This client is looking for candidates with existing accounting experience, and with ideally a good understanding of double entry principles and general ledger accounting. They would like to hear from those with experience in reconciliations, and any exposure to journal entry, accruals / prepayments or balance sheet duties would be advantageous, however not essential.  Those with transactional experience seeking a step up will also be considered.

Candidates will also ideally possess solid Excel understanding.  Those studying for an accounting qualification would also be welcomed and supported through their studies.

You will join a supportive and forward thinking team, with opportunity to progress in the longer term.  This client offers hybrid working, flexible working hours, 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), private healthcare and a very generous pension. You will work in pleasant, modern offices with on site parking and restaurant.
