ACCOUNTS MANAGER
Location: Bradford
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (Office Based)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our finance function. This is a standalone position that requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working independently and managing all aspects of the accounts department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained, financial processes run smoothly, and business operations are effectively supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the accounts department
• Management of purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
• Bank reconciliations, cash management and financial record keeping
• Payroll preparation and supplier payment processing
• Month-end duties including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Maintaining financial controls and supporting business decision-making
• Continuously improving finance processes and efficiencies

Person Specification

Essential

• Previous experience managing a complete accounts function
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Experience with payroll administration
• Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Desirable

• AAT Level 3 or above
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems
• Experience using Pegasus Opera 3
• Experience within an SME environment where responsibility for the full finance function has been required
