Our client, a highly regarded and reputable law firm based in Norwich, is seeking an experienced Family Legal Secretary to join their busy and supportive Family Law team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and organised individual who enjoys providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support within a fast-paced legal environment. Working closely with experienced Family Solicitors, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the department whilst supporting clients during sensitive and often life-changing situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial support to Family Law solicitors
  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, and court forms
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and meeting arrangements
  • Opening and closing client files in accordance with firm procedures
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and third parties professionally and sensitively
  • Preparing court bundles and legal documentation
  • Handling telephone enquiries and taking accurate messages
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post, emails, and documents
  • Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and regulatory requirements

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within Family Law
  • Excellent typing and document production skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and client care skills
  • A professional, empathetic, and discreet approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
