Engineering Team Leader | Food Manufacturing / FMCG
Location: West London
Salary: Competitive + Annual Bonus + Private Health Insurance & extra benefits.
Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts - Days
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to lead a maintenance team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for delivering preventative and reactive maintenance, improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement across production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of maintenance engineers.
- Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage CMMS, spare parts, and engineering stores.
- Monitor engineering KPIs, including uptime, maintenance compliance, and cost control.
- Work closely with production teams to maximise operational performance.
- Lead shutdown activities, projects, and contractor management.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and technical standards.
- Support new product introductions and equipment trials.
Requirements
- Previous experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, chilled food production, or another fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with planned maintenance systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of health & safety and engineering best practices.
