Business Support Officer

REED Business Support are delighted to be representing our client who are seeking a Business Support Officer to join their Policy and Performance Team at the Waterbeach Depot. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, reactive service environment and can maintain high standards under pressure. The position starts ASAP and is initially for a 6-month period with the potential for extension.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Utilise Microsoft software packages, such as Word and Excel, to produce reports, correspondence, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Input data accurately and interrogate systems as required.
  • Maintain precise records using the organisation's admin, finance, and management systems.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and information to a diverse range of audiences through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work effectively within a team and manage your own workload efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A good level of general education, including GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in office practices and procedures, including financial, administrative, personnel, and operational aspects.
  • Proficient keyboard and mouse skills.
  • Experience in customer service and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Familiarity with in-house packages like Tascomi or Alloy is advantageous, though training can be provided.
