Business Studies Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic part-time Business Studies Teacher to join a secondary school in South Cumbria. This permanent role requires a dedicated educator with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative Business Studies lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching KS5 is also advantageous.
- Utilize strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and academic performance.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
- Regularly assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
- Participate in school meetings and events, and contribute to the school community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Recent and relevant experience teaching Business Studies at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience at KS5 is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to be an excellent classroom practitioner with effective classroom management skills.
- Reliable, committed, and capable of working effectively with students.
- Good interpersonal skills, with qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
- Must be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
