We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team this September. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced professional who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), specifically those with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
Day-to-day of the role:
Plan, deliver, and assess effective lessons tailored to students with SLD and PMLD.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that recognises and nurtures the individual needs of each student.
Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to develop individualised education plans that support students’ educational and personal development.
Utilise and adapt resources to ensure accessible learning for all students.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the progress of students and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Must have experience with SLD and PMLD.
Capable of working effectively both in a team and independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, colleagues, and parents.
Candidates from mainstream settings are welcome, provided they have substantial and relevant SEND experience.
