Animal Welfare & Management Lecturer (Maternity Cover)
• Annual Salary: £22,444.80 - £27,593.60 per annum (£28,056.00 - £34,492.00 FTE per annum)
• Location: Northampton
• Hours: 29.6 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Welfare & Management Lecturer to join our client’s team. This role involves teaching, training, and managing courses related to Animal Welfare, ensuring high-quality standards that meet the college's objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Teach students attending full-time, part-time, and short courses as directed.
• Act as a course tutor, handling the associated organisation, administration, and monitoring of student attendance and performance.
• Undertake placement visits and maintain records of student achievements.
• Counsel students and maintain discipline within the classroom.
• Participate in student recruitment activities, including attending Shows and Careers Conventions.
• Engage in curriculum development to align with changing industry demands and college growth.
• Conduct demonstrations and practical activities with students across all courses.
• Participate in internal verification, auditing, and other quality monitoring processes to ensure excellence in service and attention to all learners.
• Assist in the maintenance and development of resources and commercial activities.
• Promote and adhere to the college’s Safeguarding, Health & Safety Policies, and Procedures.
• Manage student conduct in accordance with college policies and actively promote welfare, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience in teaching and managing Animal Welfare courses.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
