Job title: Investment Accounts Assistant
Type: Permanent, Full-time – Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 remote
Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 per annum + study package & benefits
I am working with an established client that operate within the Real Estate, PE & Investment space, based in Central London.
You will play a key role in supporting the Investment team, taking ownership of the day-to-day accounts payable process, capital call management and supplier relationships, whilst also contributing to financial reporting and quarterly management accounts preparation.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the Junior Investment Accountant this opportunity promises broad exposure to investment operations and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and organisation are critical.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process supplier invoices accurately and timely on Oracle NetSuite, ensuring correct coding and appropriate approvals.
- Manage the Investment supplier and payment inbox, ensuring all correspondence is addressed.
- Post payments to supplier accounts and assist with bank reconciliations.
- Conduct supplier account reconciliations and prepare aged creditor reports, offering proactive solutions to resolve old balances.
- Monitor capital call deadlines across the investment portfolio, ensuring timely approvals and processing of payments.
- Communicate directly with funds to verify payment details and confirm receipt.
- Prepare and distribute weekly updates to stakeholders on upcoming capital calls and payment requirements.
- Support the onboarding of new fund investments, including system setup and coordination of stakeholder communications.
- Serve as a primary contact for suppliers and funds, resolving queries, verifying details, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Prepare basic quarterly management accounts and post journal entries.
- Assist the Investment team with monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of double entry accounting and journal entry preparation.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with financial data.
- Experience with Oracle Netsuite highly desirable; quick adaptability required.
- Exposure to investment or fund-based finance is advantageous.
