Package: £60,000 with a comprehensive benefits package
Join a leading energy business with a strong international presence, involved in the full lifecycle of operations from exploration to decommissioning. This role reports into the Financial Controller and is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to build on their existing experience in an allround role.
Day-to-day of the role:
Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Perform cash flow analysis and reporting.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with variance analysis and recommendations.
Post payroll journals across multiple entities.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Deliver financial and performance analysis to support decision-making.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data.
Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
Support system and process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience or newly qualified with 5+ years experience (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, HFM, TM1 preferred).
Strong management accounting and reporting knowledge.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and organisation.
Strong communication skills.
Experience in multi-entity environments.
Desirable:
Experience in the energy sector.
Knowledge of Power BI or similar tools.
Exposure to cost centre analysis.
