Reed Accountancy Norwich are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a fast-paced and growing finance team on a permanent basis. This role offers a varied and hands-on opportunity supporting finance operations across multiple entities, ideal for someone with strong transactional experience looking to build a long-term career.
Day-to-Day of the Role
Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Reconcile supplier statements and manage supplier accounts.
Raise and process sales invoices across multiple entities.
Support invoicing processes and ensure accuracy across the group.
Post and reconcile daily bank transactions.
Support the reduction of aged debt.
Proactively chase outstanding payments.
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding overdue balances.
Assist with month-end processes and reporting deadlines.
Provide ad hoc support across the finance team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role.
Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger processes.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicator with strong customer service skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Good Excel and general IT skills.
Desirable:
Experience using accounting systems.
Understanding of month-end processes.
