GMCA are seeking a proactive and organised Wellbeing and Occupational Health Advisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality support and play a key role in the delivery of effective wellbeing and occupational health services across GMCA and GMFRS.
Day-to-day of the role:
Act as the first point of contact for advice, guidance, and coordination on a range of processes including health surveillance, management referrals, service provider liaison, and reporting.
Provide advice and support on Wellbeing and Occupational Health policies, processes, and resources.
Ensure the quality of delivery of contracted services by supporting managers to achieve effective health surveillance, management referrals, and access to services that ensure timely and appropriate support.
Advise GMCA people managers and colleagues on effective Wellbeing and Occupational Health Management practices, including legislation, policies, procedures, and good practice.
Build positive relationships with managers, colleagues, and external providers while helping to maintain accurate records, develop guidance, and support continuous improvement across the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with confidential information, systems, and data.
Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Experience in coordination and facilitation activities.
Confidence in building relationships and providing support across various levels of an organisation.
