Warehouse Operative
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (including weekends on a rota basis)
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy warehouse team in Welwyn Garden City. This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Working as part of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for loading and unloading deliveries, accurately picking and packing orders, and ensuring products are prepared for dispatch in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Picking customer orders accurately using pick sheets or handheld scanners
- Packing products securely for dispatch
- Checking goods in and reporting any discrepancies or damages
- Moving stock throughout the warehouse as required
- Labelling and preparing orders for shipment
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
Candidate Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is desirable
- Experience in picking, packing, loading, and unloading would be advantageous
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks and work in a physically demanding environment
- Good attention to detail
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible to work 5 days over 7, including weekends when required
