Location: Redditch
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm
Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour + shift allowances
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary Breakdown

• Basic hourly rate: £13.21 per hour
• FLT (Fork Lift Truck) Allowance: £8.00 per day
• Backshift Allowance: £6.50 per shift

About the Role

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business specialising in the sourcing, processing, and preservation of seafood products. Operating within a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Stock Controller to support the efficient management and movement of stock throughout the warehouse operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting stock control processes, and ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and health & safety standards.

An FLT licence is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out warehouse stock counts in line with weekly schedules.
• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations.
• Investigate and report stock discrepancies promptly to minimise stock shortages.
• Reconcile inventory records on the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Support warehouse operations with goods-in activities as required.
• Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures are consistently followed.
• Liaise with the Quality Assurance team to manage quarantined or held stock efficiently.
• Adhere to allergen segregation and food safety requirements.
• Support monthly and annual stocktake activities.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Support delivery of warehouse KPI targets.
• Maintain accurate inventory records at all times.
• Ensure warehouse areas are audit-ready and compliant with site standards.
• Escalate Health & Safety concerns appropriately.
• Contribute to food safety, product quality, brand integrity, and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience Required

• Valid FLT Licence (essential).
• Previous warehouse, stock control, inventory, or logistics experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
