Trainee Financial Adviser - Blackpool

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a clear route into a Financial Adviser role?

Our client is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to progress towards becoming a certificated Financial Planner.

You'll work alongside experienced Wealth Planners, supporting the delivery of high-quality financial planning advice while continuing to develop your technical expertise, client relationship skills, and commercial awareness. This role offers genuine career progression, with structured development and exposure to all aspects of the advice process.

What you'll be doing
Conducting financial planning research, technical analysis, and cashflow modelling to support client recommendations
Preparing suitability reports and recommendation documentation for Wealth Planners
Supporting client onboarding, new business processing, and ongoing client administration
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a professional and responsive service
Working closely with Wealth Planners, Investment Managers, and internal teams to deliver excellent client outcomes

What we're looking for
Strong experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning or wealth management environment
Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection, and wider financial planning solutions
Experience drafting suitability reports and carrying out client-focused research
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A desire to progress towards a Financial Adviser role and develop a personal client-facing skillset

What's on offer
£45,000 - £50,000 salary depending on experience
A clear development pathway towards becoming a Financial Adviser
Mentorship and support from experienced Wealth Planners
Up to 7.5% matched pension contribution
Share Incentive Plan
Private medical insurance
Medical cash plan
Life assurance
Income protection
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service
A range of additional employee benefits

Why join?

This role is ideal for an ambitious Paraplanner who wants more than another technical support position. You'll gain exposure to client relationships, adviser thinking, and business development activities, helping you build the experience and confidence needed to move into an advisory capacity. If you're looking for a firm that actively invests in career progression and professional development, we'd love to hear from you.
