About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting learners with additional needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing both educational and personal care support, including assisting a pupil who requires PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) feeding.

Key Responsibilities
Support pupils in the classroom to access learning activities
Provide one-to-one and small group support as directed by the tutor
Assist with personal care needs, including PEG feeding (training may be provided if required)
Promote pupil independence, confidence, and wellbeing
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Essential Requirements
Experience working with children, young people or adults in an educational or care setting
Knowledge or practical experience of PEG feeding (or willingness to be trained)
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow care plans and medical procedures accurately
Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care)
First Aid training
