We are seeking a dedicated Stores Operator to join our team. This role is crucial for managing Goods In, Kitting, Kit Inspection, Kit Return, and Stock Control, supporting both the Stores Supervisor and the Supply Chain Manager. The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficiency and accuracy in handling store operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
Goods In: Booking in of supplier orders, ensuring accuracy and completion.
Kitting: Producing picking lists and kitting labels, picking parts, and placing them in kit order from defined locations.
Kit Inspection: Inspecting kits kitted by colleagues against the picking list to ensure accuracy.
Kit Return: Breaking down kits and returning items to unique locations.
Stock Control:
Locating and checking for stock accuracy all parts in the warehouse as defined by the Supply Chain Manager.
Performing cycle counts.
Ensuring the condition of counted stock and its required packaging is maintained within its requirements for Electrical/MSL standard in storage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role.
Ability to follow defined procedures and processes consistently.
Experience working with MRP systems.
Strong skills in stock control and cycle counting.
Clear and calm communication skills, both verbally and via email.
Competent level of IT literacy in Outlook and ability to learn new software as required.
Preferred: A working knowledge of electronic components and basic assembly knowledge.
