Warehouse Operative

Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Job Overview

A well-established, Berkshire-based packaging supplier with over 45 years of industry expertise is seeking a full-time Warehouse Operative to join its busy operations team in Theale. The organisation is committed to delivering high-quality packaging solutions while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and continuous improvement.

This role is based onsite in the warehouse, working five days per week. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Operations and Logistics function, taking primary responsibility for goods receipt, quality checking, and accurate stock management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and efficient receipt of incoming goods
  • Check all deliveries for accuracy, quality, and compliance
  • Accurately process goods using the internal warehouse management system
  • Operate a Flexi (Bendi) forklift truck
  • Maintain accurate stock records across both digital and manual systems
  • Load and unload goods safely from delivery vehicles
  • Ensure warehouse facilities and equipment are maintained to a high safety standard
  • Pick orders accurately in line with operational requirements
  • Support the Warehouse Supervisor and Operations/Logistics Manager with additional tasks as needed

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience operating a Flexi/Bendi (Narrow Aisle) forklift truck (essential)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a busy warehouse environment (preferred)
  • Reliable, committed, and proactive approach to work
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Basic IT competency
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in line with company values and standards
  • Right to live and work in the UK

Desirable Skills

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Fire Marshal training
